- "Muy" only goes with adjectives or adverbs.
- "Mucho" only goes with verbs or nouns.
- "Mucho" answers the question "¿Cuánto/a/os/as?"; "muy" answers "¿Cómo?".

Exceptions!
- "Mucho" always goes after the verb, but always goes before the noun. Example: La empresa renta muchos coches.
- "Muy" always comes before the adjective or adverb. Example: El coche está muy roto.
