Conjunctions join words or phrases in a sentence. For example: "y, o, pero..."

  1. Use "y" and "o" to join words.
  2. Use "pero" and "porque" to connect sentences.
  3. Use "si" and "aunque" in subordinate clauses.

Exceptions!

  1. Use "e" instead of "y" before words that begin with "i-" or "hi-". For example: "e infusiones".
  2. Use "u" instead of "o" with words that start with "o-" or "ho-". For example: "u otra cosa".
