These exercises can be done together during conversation lessons or as homework.

Exercise 1: Conversation exercise

Instruction:

  1. ¿Qué cosas malas pueden pasar en un viaje? (What bad things can happen on a trip? )
  2. ¿Qué puedes hacer cuando te sucede? (What can you do when it happens to you?)
  3. ¿Te ha sucedido alguna vez una de esas situaciones? (Has one of those situations ever happened to you?)

Teaching guidelines +/- 10 minutes

Example phrases:

Tu dinero puede ser robado.

Alguien puede robarte la bolsa.

He perdido el pasaporte y no sé dónde queda la embajada. (I have lost my passport and I don't know where the embassy is.)
Lo peor de perder el móvil es no poder llamar para pedir ayuda. (The worst thing about losing your phone is not being able to call for help.)
En la comisaría me dijeron que tengo que comprobar los documentos robados. (At the police station, they told me that I have to verify the stolen documents.)
Para no perderse, siempre mira un mapa antes de salir. (To avoid getting lost, always look at a map before you go out.)
