The passive voice is used to indicate actions performed.

  1. The formula used is ser + participle + "por" + subject.
  2. The participle agrees in gender and number with the subject.
  3. "Ser" is conjugated according to the tense of the sentence.

Exceptions!

  1. The complement 'por' is only used if necessary.
  2. In the passive voice, the subject receives the action, it does not perform it.
