Exercise 2: Multiple Choice

Instruction: Choose the correct sentence that properly uses 'Before', 'Before (doing something)', 'After', 'After (doing something)' or 'When' to talk about routines and personal hygiene.

1.
Incorrect, the preposition 'before' is missing before the infinitive.
Incorrect, 'before than' is not used with infinitive in English.
2.
Incorrect, the verb 'get up' is not correctly conjugated after 'when'.
Incorrect, the verb following 'when' must be conjugated, not infinitive.
3.
Incorrect, the preposition 'before' is missing before the infinitive.
Incorrect in this context because 'after' with conjugated verb indicates a habitual subsequent action, but here it wants to express an immediately subsequent action with infinitive.
4.
Incorrect in the reflexive expression; the correct reflexive pronoun is missing for the personal action: it should be 'before washing myself'.
Incorrect, 'before' must be followed by infinitive without separated pronoun; the pronoun must be attached to the infinitive: 'before washing'.
