En el pasado, no todos tenían un teléfono en casa. Si alguien quería hacer una llamada, tenía que usar un teléfono público. Telefónica era la empresa que conectaba teléfonos en España. En los años 70 y 80, la gente esperaba mucho tiempo para instalar uno en casa. También, muchas veces la señal era muy mala. Entonces era difícil escuchar bien la voz del otro lado. Hoy sería muy difícil tener un teléfono antiguo. Telefónica ha cambiado mucho con la entrada de los móviles modernos. Ahora todos pueden llamar en cualquier momento y oírse con claridad.

Translation

In the past, not everyone had a telephone at home. If someone wanted to make a call, they had to use a public phone. Telefónica was the company that connected phones in Spain. In the 70s and 80s, people waited a long time to have one installed at home. Also, many times the signal was very bad. So it was difficult to hear the voice on the other side clearly. Today, it would be very difficult to have an old phone. Telefónica has changed a lot with the arrival of modern mobiles. Now everyone can call at any time and hear each other with clarity.
